We help drive social mobility by providing free
quality education for children who need it most.
Despite being the 2nd richest country in the world and the 4th most expensive city to live in, Singapore is among the bottom 10 countries in the world for its efforts to reduce inequality. This is home and we must not forget our less-privileged, especially when they face challenges too intransigent for self-reliance to resolve.
Today, the situation has changed. If we rely too heavily on the individual, their efforts alone will not be enough… And there are some things which individuals cannot do on their own and there are other things which we can do much better together. So we must shift the balance.
— Mr Lee Hsien Loong, 2013
We are committed to ensuring that children from vulnerable families are not only literate, but that they have the opportunity to learn and grow from what they read.
But we cannot achieve this alone.
Will you shift the balance with us?
